Costa in the footsteps of Marco Polo

The new Costa Crociere ship is called Costa Venezia. It was designed and built specifically for the Chinese market. But European customers will be able to test it before others !

The Costa Venezia for the Asian market

The Costa Venezia will soon be ready. They are working hard at the Fincantieri yard to finish this new ship. Costa Fortuna, currently in Asia, will reposition itself in the Mediterranean. And in 2020, Costa Venezia’s twin sister will arrive, still destined for China.

The Costa Venezia, an already famous name !

You can already book your cabin for this maiden voyage on Costa Crociere’ new flagship. The Costa Venezia, as you can deduce, is a tribute to the unique charm of Venice. But, it is especially intended to make dream the Asian public.

The ship itself is a hymn to Venice. The architecture and gastronomic selection are typical of Venice and Italy in general. The famous Venetian craft products and the most famous Italian brands will be marketed on board.

A departure from Europe in March 2019

The launch cruise will take place in March 2019, when Costa Venezia leaves the construction site to sail on the Adriatic Sea to the China Sea. This is a unique opportunity to experience a new type of travel, different from any itinerary you can find in catalogues.

53 days sailing from Trieste to Yokohama

Cruise passengers may choose to stay for the entire cruise from March 8 to April 29, 2019). But Costa also has 3 routes to choose from: Trieste to Dubai (20 days), Dubai to Singapore (18 days) and Singapore to Yokohama (17 days).

A superb cruise that will pass through Croatia, Greece, Israel, the Suez Canal, Jordan, Oman, the Arab Emirates and also India, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

Animations will be planned (including a masked ball… like in Venice) for an international clientele for the inaugural cruise. On the other hand, cruises departing from China will have a specific animation for this clientele.

Some ship details
The Costa Venezia will have a gross tonnage of 135,500 tons and will offer 2,116 cabins for a total of 5,260 possible passengers on board.

It will be operated by a joint company of the Chinese CSSC Group and Carnival Corporation.
